4.0 Oil Usage Fix

I've seen some posts on 4.0 oil usage where the fix is said to be to retorque the lower intake manifold. My '92 is doing this, but I was just wondering where this fix originated. Was it a a Ford TSB or from some other source?

Not sure where it came from either but I know for a fact that it works. My 92 navajo was doing this I did this 3 years ago and still have not burned any oil.
