4.0 SOHC is VERY noisy

I am getting some unusually load noises from my motor lately. It seems to be making a tapping noise, and sometimes its even as loud as a knock. A few people have compared the noise to the sound of a diesel. I just changed the oil, I have been putting Q torque power 10w-30 in it, for about the last 12,000 miles, there are about 67000 miles on the motor total. I have a KKM intake, other than that, th motor is all stock. Any ideas, im pretty sure it's not suppose to be always tapping like that.
