4.6 2v with a 6r80

Okay so long story short I have a 4x4 6r80 from a 5.0L f150 in perfect working order. I noticed that they have standalone controllers for the 6r80 available. Has anyone ever attempted to run a 6r80 in a 3rd gen explorer?

I would like to do this swap. I think the transfer case from a fourth gen 6r60 would be needed also, or at least the front case half. Everything else looks close. I have measured from bellhousing to trans mount and they are close to the same.

This is good to hear! The mounting and driveshaft lengths was also something i was concerned about. I am very interested in doing this it may not happen right away but i have the most expensive piece already and have plenty of experience with the 6r transmissions so that is a good start i suppose!
