I'm right here. Shoot me an email. tim@smhnet.com

Regarding the two steel wires, I'm not sure that I'm following you with this. The only steel wire that I know of is the parking brake cable which runs the length of the drivers side frame rail on the outside. On my 93 it splits off into right in front of the drivers side rear tire. Any chance of getting a picture of this? Are they on the inside or outside of the frame rail?

Tim

yeah hey tim, it a e-brake cable...well one of them is becasuse i had a guy look at the cable when i push in the e-brake or parking brake and he said one cable moved but the other didnt, so ...its had tellin. could i hove this to the other side of the frame?

Hmmm I only have one on my 93, did they change something for 94? I only took a quick glance under there (don't have my dirty clothes on) but doesn't look too difficult to move to the other side of the frame if you want to cut some holes in the frame for the cables to go through. This is a really stupid answer but it's like anything else custom, you have to be able to visualize what you what it to do and then find the best way of getting it there using all the tools at your disposal.

Ok, if these are in fact your Parking barke cables then you can just unbolt them from the frame and leave them hanging....no harm in doing this, and will let them move freely when the suspension is in motion.

What I want to know is if these "steel wires" are more like hard lines? And you said that they go to the axle housing? To the center and split, or straight to the sides? (which would be to the brakes either way) The reason I ask is b/c these may be your regular brake lines you are talking about. If so care needs to be taken in re routing them or extending them as needed. You can fubar your parking brake with no foul, but you mess up one of those brake lines and you WILL notice it.

A pic of what you are talking about would help.

that sounds like either your hard brake lines or your fuel lines (they dont go to the axle but do run close to that area) take great care in making sure they are custom mounted correctly and lengthened......

Yeah, the fuel lines run through the frame as well, but they don't make any bends toward the axle. They run over it in mine, this is why I have held off on doing my step notch. Not enought time or resources to mess with the stupid things.

yes its the e-brake ....its only one then turn in to two....im thinkin about leaven the 4-link out because the truck has very little room in the wheel wells so i couldnt drop it as much as i wont so i say forget it .

check out this place for ur 4-link http://www.suicidedoors.com prob. is with 4-link is the gas tank is in the way ur top bars would have to be reversed.also if ur running bags i am working on an on board compressor set up for the explorers now but if u have the money check out this place the bronco one looks the same to me not for sure.but the bolt holes are the same Dead Link Removed
