4 low not enganging.

Ok so last night I was at my parent and I need to drop off some tires. There is a lot of hard compacted snow drifted all around. So I wasn't worried about it, then I got high centered or caught up on something underneath. So I engaged 4 high and well still didn't get out, so after a few tries of rocking back and forth. I switched to 4 low to see if that could get me out. Well the light never came on for 4 low on the dash. I could feel any difference in the wheels spinning. I put it back to 4 high and just rocked my way out, but that bothers me that it wasn't engaging. I have seen it work before when I tested it one day to see if it worked, and it did perfect. So I really don’t want to climb underneath the rig. Could there be something I can try to do as far a plug undone or fuse blown something someone HELP please....

Have to ask: Were you stopped, in neutral, with your foot on the brakes?

4L will not engage with the vehicle in park and the light will not come on

I tried it in drive and rev, I thought I tried N but I don't remember. I was stopped wheels not spinning. So I would need to be stopped and in neutral to be able to get into 4 low.

yes, you must be stoped, in neutral, with your foot on the break, wont work any other way.
