it seems like all body kits max out at 3". i have once heard of a 4" or 5" body kit.

after putting in my 3" body lift, i see no reason why i couldnt stretch it out maybe another inch (besides the exception of the automatic shifter cable which is extremely tight, but thats going after the tranny swap)

could i just add on a 2" body lift and double up on the spacers, and radiater bracketry, steering linkage?

Why not get fiber fenders instead? You're gonna run into many steering and wiring problems, and possibly cooling problems too. And the body mount bolts may start to get "wobbly" that high and with the raised center of gravity. You may also be stressing those bolts.

Besides those issues, IMO it's a :nono: to compound body lifts just as it is to compount leaf blocks.

hey why not just stck up a few hockey pucks while your at it! j/k any body lift over a 3 is just plan gettin ricky yeah i know every body has seen the people with the welded up 10 in body lifts, but come on besides being dangours it just looks ugly as h*ll to be able to see the huge gap between frame and body. just my opinon

10" body lift??? i would love to see a pic of that!

Body lifts are just too ugly....go with susp lift.

no, i know, they are ugly. i dont even like the way my 3" looks especially without any good suspension lift to go with it. i only did it because it was cheap and i also wanted to wait for the rcd coilover kit to come out or a SAS.

the only reason i was asking, was that if i got the rcd coilover kit, i wanted to be able to fit 35 boggers with minimum trimming, and without fiberglass fenders. i hear they will fit with some decent trimming with a 5.5" susp lift and 3" bl, so i was wondering if i could just push out another inch or two to make them fit with less trimming.

it was really only a hypothetical question.

but i would love to see how ridiculous a 10" body lift would look.

I actually had an 8" body lift on mine for a while. It wasn't too bad and it made changing the spark plugs VERY easy.

My god, you could make storage compartments between the frame and body on that thing.

Nothing says ghetto like a 6 inch body lift.

At least in some states it is illegal for the lowest portion of the body to be 4" or more above any part of the frame (or something like that). . . so a 4" bodylift would be illegal.

Just double up the frames of 2 X's....:p

It's been done.
