4 WD High and low lights flashing

I have a 1997 Explorer Sport, the 4 WD High and Low dash lights just started to flash. Does anyone know what this means?

Bad switch? Mine did this when I first got it. Replaced the switch with one I got from a junkyard and it stopped doing it.

My 4WD switch on the dash apparently went bad. Right after I got the truck the 4WD lights on the dash started flashing. I replaced the 4WD switch with one I picked up from the JY and everything was fine.

Mine flashed a few times last week randomly by hasn't done it since then.
