4wd and traction

I have a basicly stock 01 sport. What does it have in it from the factory? Just open diffs or something else? How does it control traction. Thanks/
 






I'm pretty sure no 2nd gen Explorers have "traction control" (by which I mean applying brake pressure to the slipping wheel). Other than auto 4wd which simply senses rear slip, the only factory option was a limited slip rear diff. You can check your axle code (driver's side door jamb or on the axle) to find out if you've got LS or not.
