O.K. I cant get it to work and im getting frustrated searching for info about the shift motor . My lights wont come on 4hi or 4lo. the module in the back is clicking but nothing from the transfer case. Where abouts on the transfer case is the shift motor located? Is this what it is?

it sounds like a shift motor problem to me, but I'm not much help on location. I have never had to work on mine. All I can suggest is to crawl underneath and look for the wires on the T-case.

The shift motor is on the T-case

First off Stop pressing the 4x4 buttons. Your shift motor is not working and pressing the buttons will do Nothing except get your more aggravated. I don't want to double post so find my post in the link below. It will also have a link to the edu site which has some shift motor pics and "T"-case location.
