I need some help to hotwire my t-case shift motor

I read through Dr bob's site and I guess I'm just not seeing my answers. First off it looks like my processor is bad. I hear clicking when I push the button but it doesn't engage. I pulled the plugs in the rear and pushed the white button and got a continuous solid red light which seems to indicate processor. So what I want to do is verify this by applying power to get the motor to shift to 4hi.

Can someone tell me step by step which wires to cross to actuate the motor???

just get a new/used motor. Very common, way easy to replace, and you should be able to find one at a salvage yard. explorer/ranger motors are the same. have a ball in AK.

Like I said its the processor, so I just want to manually engage the 4hi using 12v to the proper wires, but I don't want to fry anything

apply +12v to pin 3 yellow wire and simulataneously apply -12v (ground) to pin 2 orange wire


So I understand which wires but where do I get the +12v and -12v from can someone tell me the correct wire combination.

Also he says be in nuetral while making this and do I need to disconnect the harnees to the motor or can I just leave it connected and use pin type wires to go through the plastic wire coating??

I just unplugged the harness and hit the motor directly.. Got the power from the battery
