4WD vs AWD?

AWD case isnt bulletproof, but it is a well built unit.

It sure is no NP205 but in this day and age of lightweight and flimsy aluminum chain drive transfer cases this Borg Warner seems dang durable. And being a Grand Cherokee owner as well I frequent a Jeep forum and the failure rate on viscous couplers in the New Process Case's is horrendous with what seems to be nary a problem in our Exploders Borg Warner cases.
I also appreciate the simplicity of the AWD case and the availability and pricing on good used units.

182,000 on the AWD drive case and it probably got it's first fluid change when I bought it at 175,000.:D
