thanks for all your input guys. ive got a heated garage to work in thank god. Does anyone know where i can get the gasket between the tc and the trans. Is it an autzone part or a dealer only?

just use some RTV, while youre under there though, you may want to consider changing the trans output shaft seal (rear trans seal) and deffinetly replace the input and output seals on that used t-case youre getting. now would be a good time to check u-joints also. hope this helps

yea when i first got the truck i was a young dumbass and all my friends power braked their trucks but i didnt realize i had auto 4 wheel drive so i tried it, i couldnt get my back tires to break loose and spin i just heard a little clunking in the front end. idk why it does it. theres nothing wrong with my truck though. it only makes a little noise when my front tires spin or i power brake. not so much of a clunk as a rattle.
