- 2007 Explorer Limited
Hi all, I just attempted to replace the front driverside bearing hub on my 07 Explorer Limited. The thing was rusted solid. I followed the instructions to push the driveshaft out with a puller with no result. After fighting with it for awhile, decided to remove the knuckle and have a local shop remove the hub. However, we could get the knuckle off the bottom ball joint. I finally gave up (mainly due to frustration) and made the descision to install the new brakes and take it to my buddies shop this week. However, upon test driving, I noticed a low pitch whine when turning from a stop when in four wheel drive. On tight turns, there is a very large thunk both in high and in low. Any ideas what this could be? It also looks as if I will need to realign now as it pulls to the right pretty good. Thanks in advance for any info.
