4x4 hi low

when i turn the knob to enable 4x4 low the light on the das for the 4x4 high comes on, and its on when in 4x4 high.

am i realy in high when im supposed to be low?

and the light for the low is not burnt out, whenever i start the car it comes on then goes off like all the other lights.

Are you engaging 4LO properly (stopped and neutral)?

Probably not because I couldn't figure out why it never went into low without reading this forum.

Stop the car, put neutral and then turn the knob and wait for the light to turn on

don't drive without that light!
