Hi,
The 4x4 auto high light is blinking. I've replaced the rear speed sensor on the differential, (Ford part) still blinking. What is next? Also, what is the potential problem if I just ignore it and let it blink? Can the brakes possibly malfunction or lock?
Thanks!

Welcome aboard!! :salute:

When I had the blinking 4x4 light and non working 4x4, it turned out to be a bad ground on the transfer case shift motor.

Worth a look.

Good luck and be sure to keep us posted. :D:thumbsup:

Thanks Rondo,
I'll check that out!

It's worth a shot. Doesn't cost anything to look.

Hope you get it sorted.

Hey Big Rondo,
After replacing the abs sensor in the differential with no luck, I finally found time ( a month later!) to get under the Explorer again and check the actuator wiring as you suggested. I found the ground wire completely broken off. Repaired and all is good! Can't thank you enough! Great tip and I really appreciate your taking time to reply! Thanks again and have a Merry Christmas!

You are very welcome. Nice job getting it sorted.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you as well. :D
