4x4 High Light Flashing

Hi my name is Kristen and I'm new to the forums and was wondering if anyone can help me with my 4x4 problem. I have a 2002 Ford Explorer and my 4x4 high light flashes. It is now popping into 4 wheel drive by itself when I'm driving. No ABS light. If I manually push the 4x4 high it will go into 4x4 high. The 4x4 low doesn't seem to be working.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like there might be an issue with the transfercase. If it is going into 4WD on its own there they could be some bad linkage in there or the motor could be going crazy on you. I would bring it to someone just to see what they think. If you use the 4WD during the winter I would suggest maybe trying to get it diagnostic done before the first snow hits.
