4x4 light flashing

my 4x4 light is sending out a code. It flashes 7 times every two minutes or so. I have already had the 4x4 module replaced. Anyone know what this code means or is trying to tell me? The truck is driving and operating normally, although i have not tried to engage the 4 wheel drive yet. Thanks

I'd bet that nothing happens when you try to engage 4High or 4Low. This is not good news for those of us who have also recently replaced the 4X4 control module.

I have no idea what the number of flashes means. Mine flashed 5 times every 2 minutes after the module went out.

How long ago did you replace your module?

replaced the module back in July. Then had new bearings in the rearend and new speedo sensor too. about $2000 total...so far.

I just used the 4x4 about 1 week ago w/ no problems.

Take it to AutoZone or someplace and see if it is throwing any trouble codes. Let us know if your 4X4 still works.

ok i will try that soon. suppossed to geta few inches tomorrow. Figures
