for as long as ive had my x the 4x4 low has never worked right. i recently took the shift motor off and checked it out, the teeth on the gear are fine and the motor works fine, it just doesnt seem to be getting a consistent signal. at the moment, when i go to put it into low sometimes it will work sometimes not, and it usually takes a while to shift. then once its low if i go to shift it back to high or turn 4x4 off altogether it wont come back out of low unless i turn off the truck and restart the engine. wtf?
