4x4 not locking in!

Four wheel drive not locking in. 94 Sport still with auto hubs. All related indicating lights work, but while "locked in" it fails the turning test. A whine was heard from the left front aswell. The system can be heard engaging when the "low" button is pressed, but nothing heard when pushing the 4 x 4 button first. Bad Hubs? The T-case motor was given a 'Swift-kick' too. Help.

90% chance of bad auto hubs. These are very prone to failure, and most people swap them out with Warn manual hubs.
