4x4 not working

My 92 eddie baur has electronic 4x4, but it wont engage. i can hear the computer click when i press the button but the light wont go on and the transfercase wont engage. if n e one has n e ideas of wut i can check please let me know. until i fix it i have to drive on normal roads (wheres the fun in having a 4x4 on normal roads?)

When I bought my 92 last year--the four wheel drive would not work. Pressing the button brought a flashing 4x4 light. It turned out to be the electric shift motor on the transfer case. There is a thread here somewhere where they show how to remove and clean it--as they aren't cheap. Good Luck.

Welcome to the site...
Your problem is very common and many times occurs because you fail to use the system regularly (causing the shift motor to stick in position). Once you get it working you should use it once or twice a month to keep it in good shape...Anway check out the links in my sig line below.
