I went to engage 4 wheel drive this morning and nothing happened. No lights or noises. I checked the ECM, when i press the white button i get a solid red light. This means it's the computer, right?

no... that means that you have a problem with your shif control module.
I solid red ligtht means problems

You will find some great information about it in Dead Link Removed
Sorry about my english

could it be a blown fuse. one day mine didnt engage just like you said. i checked the fuses and that was the problem. i replaced it and havent had a problem since.

Thanks,

I'll try the fuse first.

Its always a goof idea to check fuses, however if your fuse was blown you wouldnt even be able to run the diagnostic you did. Your shift motor is out.

walcheff:

You didn't mention if you had disconnected the wiring plugs before the test, so if not, you have to disconnect the 5-wire and 8-wire connectors first. Then turn ignition switch to run position and activate self-test button.

Flashing light indicates control module is functioning properly, solid light indicates inoperative control module.
