Last night was offroading and I lost all power to the 4x4 button on the dash. Neither low or 4x4 will get power. Do you think that any kind of relay could of went out for it not to get any power? Where is the lil black box (relay) to the 4x4 so I can check it all out to see whats up.

the relay is located inside the drivers side panel in the back where the jack is. It is located more toward the front than the jack so make sure to look in there

so should I have to take the whole panel off to see it? Would this cause me not getting any power to the push b uttons? Is this relay the small lil black box?

no you do not have to take the whole panel to see it. From what I understand (and I am not an expert) there is a white button on the relay with a little red light by it. If you push it and the light stays on then it is the actuator motor than is gone. If the light blinks a lot of times than it is the relay that is messed up but do some searches on this subject becasue there is a lot of good stuff out there.

Excelent sugestions but I may suggest something else. If he is getting no power to the switches how could it be a relay? The realy is downstream from the switch. Sounds dumb and all but check all fuses including the max fuses under the hood.

Ok I went outside and pushed the lil white button on the module and the red light did stay on so what does that mean? But anyways I still am not getting any power to my dash...They told me that the relay is bad or something. It looks like the type of relay thats under the hood in the fuse box but where is the 4x4 one at? But also since that red light stayed on and didn't blink what does that mean?

It means your actuator motor and t-case are in good working order and your problem does lie in the eletrical connections and relays between the button and the t-case. Mine was the other way, my actuator motor burned out and I had to replace it with a $13 junkyard swap...

Ok so where does the relay go? I bought a new one so I can swap it out. They said thats what the problem was. But where in the hell does it go?

Solid red light at rear computer panal

I had a blinking light before I took out the t-case motor and took it apart and cleaned it, and now I have a solid light when I press the white button, I would also like to know where the relay switch goes at the rear compartment, or if anyone has any other ideas as to what might be the problem with the 4X4 switch. Thanks Gary

Hey guys i tried the White button thing!!!!! But no luck:mad: , I can hear the click but no light, well it did not light up anyway, it is on the bottom. Any sugg. :(
P.S. what is the fuse # foir the 4X4 and Where is it? Under the hood in the major fuse box?
Thak you guy and gals in advance.:p

ok does anybody know where the lil black relay goes? I know that theres a shift module in the back panel but thats not what I need to know cause all that is working fine. I need to know where the lil black relay box goes..
