4x4 question

How do i tell if my 4x4 is working? I drive it in auto all the time but when i switch it to 4x4 low, i dont get any light on dash. when i switch it to 4x4 high, I can see the 4x4 high light on dash but i dont feel any difference in driving.

Do you think my car i stuck in 4x4?

must be in Nuetral to get 4 low,, first off,

i think if it was engaging the 4x4 all the time you would feel the bind on pavement when cornering,,
are there any flasing lights in the dash ,?
4x4 ? or o/d ? abs ?

I can feel something moving under the truck while cornering but i dont know if its the bind.

No flashing lights in dash.
4x4 hi light comes on if i switch it to 4x4 high from auto even if i am driving. no other lights are on

Thanks. I just tried to put it in neutral and switch it to 4x4 low and i heard a licking sound underneath car and 4x4 light came on. I switched it to 4x4 high and heard and other clicking and 4x4 high light came on.
