Since Ive made my truck a summer only vechicle, i want to get rid of all the 4x4 components in the front except the t-case for now. I want to do this so I can drop the weight and lower the front more. Now I know that Hartman completed this and listed the parts needed:

2wd spindles
Inner/outer wheel bearings
wheel seals
2wd ABS sensors
2wd rotors
Upper and lower balljoints

I went and priced out a few things and im not sure what balljoints i need. Napa has two listed, one with some type of bracket and one with just the balljoint. What one would I need? Now is there anything else that I need thats not in the list above? By converting to 2wd will it change the offset for my rims? Also is it possible to just take out the front diff and halfshafts and just keep my spindles and everything? Sorry about all the questions, thanks for any replies.

You don't need to change the ball joints for 2wd. But it's probably an okay idea to do it. Nothing will change as far as offset.

You can search for a thread by Jefe becuase he ran without his half shafts in for a long time.

On a side note. It would probably be easier to find a person in your area who wants to go the other way and you two could just swap parts over the weekend. :D
