4x4 wont work please help

So I was stuck in the snow and I tried putting my 4x4 on and it wouldn't work finally after turninmg the knob like a million times it worked and now today I tried it just to see and it ewouldnt work after about 20 min it clicks on and off like 5 times then works when I put it on or off fine , now I can't get it to go on at all I don't see the light lit up nor do I hear it clock on.

coulkd it be the knob it self? or maybe a switch or fuse somewhere?

Are you trying to switch into 4Low or 4High???

4 high I kno u need to be in neutral and press on the brake, it works sometimes and when I can get it to work it will work fine as many times as I put it on and off but then ill try an hour later and nothing.
