(2001 explorer sport) I was trying to get in my door boot (rubber seal that covers wires from door to dash) to fix my power lock switch. Everyone said the wire could be split in the boot. The Bolt that held the boot cap on was stripped or somthing cause it wouldnt come off. I tried sticking a screw driver and poping it off but went through and didnt look like it hit any wires but now all my switches wont work on that panel. also the passenger window switch doesnt work now. i slamed my door too :/ could this have broken a fuse? did i shorten a wire out? what made all the panel switches not work and the passenger power window switch? thanks

You must have separated the connector enough to break the contact of the pins. It may seem as the bolt is stripped but it takes quite a bit of turning to remove it. The connector separates as the bolt loosens.
