5.0 belt routing HELP!

ok, I need a picture of the belt routing diagram off a 96/97 5.0 explorer (awd if it matters). The engine is ina ranger so i dont have access to the diagram. I did a search with no luck. So.. if someone could take a picture of the 5.0 routing diagram and post/ email to lindros67b@aol.com I would be forever grateful

Sorry I dont have a picture but there is a real simple rule to follow with serpentine belts that will show you thge correct routing.

Flat pulley (smooth) = back of the belt
Ribbed or grooved pulley = ribbed side of the belt.

Just knowing that you should be able to route your belt

Somebody will have the diagram I am sure.

Thanks, good info, but unfortunatly i have too much experience with belts to know that already. I am worried about proper rotation of water pump, also, there are several somewhat close options, so want to know for sure

have you tried therangerstation.com?
look in the tech library
