What weight is the stock 5.0L harmonic balancer for the 99-2002 explorers? 28oz, 50oz, or something else? What is a good brand to get for replacement? Thanks.
It is a 50oz and you cannot replace it, unless you plan to have a custom pulley/spacer made and a custom crank trigger wheel made. If you do decide to go that route, either get a Romac, ATi or TCI damper. Do not get fluidampr or the summit damper. The Fluidamprs are junk and the Summit is too big. You need less than 6.5" OD. Also, have two sets of spacers / trigger wheels made, as I will buy one
