My oil gauge flackers back and forth at idle in gear once it warms up! Anybody know what causes this and maby a fix. I was thinking putting seafoam in the oil about 100 miles before an oil change? I just put seafoam in the brake booster and it runs like a champ!
Thanks for any help!

Make sure its not low on oil, first.
If not, I would replace the sending unit for the gauge, just to eliminate that as the problem, first.
Also, you might want to hook up a real oil gauge, just to see if its low on oil pressure, and if so, just how bad it is.

And how do you do that? I dont know to much about the 5.0's. we just bought it

This is going to be dumb... Yeah.. I know this is an old thread.. But I'm having the oil gauge problem too.. I'm 10 miles over my "change ur oil" thing sticker... My dip stick shows no oil at all on it............................ But my truck will drive fine..........................

I'll be picking up at least a quart later tonight... What's going on!?
