5.0 Swap

My engine and trans are going in my 97 Ranger 2wd. I was told that u can swap an Explorer 5.0 engine and trans into a Ranger without much modification. Is that true???

You have a `97. Which is a Coil Sprung Frame. It is the same as swapping it into a 83-88, 89-92 or 93-97 Ranger. They have the same required parts for the swap...it's NOT a direct bolt-in.

A 96+ 5.0L Explorer motor into a 98+ Ranger w/ Torsion Bars is a direct bolt-in.
