5.0 vs. 4.6

Whats a better engine, the 2nd gen 5.0 or the 3rd gen 4.6?

Horsepower and torque are higher in the 4.6 even though the compression is relatively the same between the two...I think. Kinda odd how that worked out. Are there other factors that perhaps make the 5.0 a better choice, like durability?

I think a 4.6 has more aluminum parts

the 5.0 is all cast iron

302 is going to be a lot more reliable

stock to stock the 4.6 explorers are faster. has quite a bit to do with the 5 speed auto in the 4.6s though
