5-speed tranny thats is stronger than yours and easy to find????

in the 80's bealve it or not ford offered 2 5-speed one the lovely M5OD and a nother one than was mad buy some one eles?? i can't think of there name but a guy i know has one in his 89 ranger and says he can't break it???? is this what iv been looking for?????? all i rember about the name is that it starts with M its somthing like musoishe or somthing like that??
