5 spoke Bronco II Wheels

I recently obtained a nice corrosion free set of Bronco II Aluminum 5-spoke wheels. The finish on the aluminum is very dull and the clear coat seems to be thin or missing.

Has anyone ever restored wheels such as these? They have a brushed finish in the direction of rotation. Can they be polished or turned to restore them?

I would say get the chipped clear coat sand blasted off, then re polish them, and or paint them. I did it with my alluminum wheels on my Van, then painted them with flat black wheel paint. LOOKS GREAT!!!
