I gotta get this damn exhaust done and behind me..what is the diffrence between the to mufflers. I want a nice tone but not anything that will drive me crazy at 3 in the morning or make the girlfriend not wanna be in the truck.

I think i had the delta flow on my 91 but that was 3 yrs ago and it was loud but i dont remember exactly which muffler it was.

So just wondering the diffrence
Thanx

I have the 50 series SUV which has the delta flow built in, very low deep mellow tone under 3k rpms...>Anything over 3k and it sounds ricy.

The SUV sucks big time. Honestly, don't get either, go for the Super 40 and be done with it.

I bought the flowmaster catback for my 5.0 and it came with a 50 series "big block" muffler. I would assume that this is probably the 50 series SUV, and if so, I think it is too quiet. Maybe in the future I'll put the 40 series on it. However, if you're looking for loud, this one isn't it.

Seriously, the 50 SUV is almost as quiet as stock. You have to strain to hear it.

sounds good to me, i dont like being noticed by the popo everytime i drive by.
i had dual delta 40's on my previous vehicle and it didnt sound bad at all.
it only got loud near the top rpms, but it was only a vortec 4.3 so it wasnt THAT loud.

The 50 Serise SUV is NOT quiet by any stretch. It's a nice mellow tone at cruising speeds. Above 3k, it sounds ricey from inside the cab, but I followed my brother in my Ex home a couple weeks ago, and discovered how great it sounds all across the range... Throaty (or at least as throaty as a V-6 can sound!)

well i dont have many options seein that i need the dual inlets and single out and theres not many choices at all, and no 40 series are dual inlet, i gotta go with what i can get b/c at this point my stock pipes are shot big time. so if 50 series is better and sound decent then i gotta go with that.
thanx for ur opinions

Also i talked to a guy at Mac Performance and he said that they have an exhaust for the 2 doors and it supposably fits with dual inlets and single out so i might try that, i already ordered one exhaust from them and the girl there messed it up and gave me one for a 5.0L. But illl figure it out by the end of the weekend

Oh, yeah.... I forgot to mention that mine was still going out through the OEM tailpipe and resonator. That could account for why mine has no drone.
