First off, thank you folks on this posting very very good info.
Just bought a 2000 4wd came with trans problems, I believe the trans was in limp mode. R was very slow even when on the gas, so was D, 1st good, 2nd good also , then it would go into D and do alright. According to some awesome dudes posting info on this I was able to drop the valve body and found a blown out gasket!!!
Replaced it, very careful not to screw up anything, keep very clean, kept up with the bolt pattern also Now it won't go in reverse, only moves forward in R and N and the others. Wondering how bad I screwed this up or is it a servo? Could anyone that knows please tell me, I'm no mech so please don't bust my balls too badly lol.
the rod that looks like it goes up into the trans look good ( i think ) , nothing else looked bad.
I'd like to get this running, the a/c is very cold and seats are comfortable, looks better than my 96, no dents and the windows work!
