So I've got my Eddie Bauer's old V6 trans here, and I've noticed two things, one, it's got a new front seal and looks like it's been apart before. Two is the front pump SHAFT is loose, or the TC is coming to pieces one, it didn't leak fluid, however, the TC is loose in the trans and the lines had no fluid in them whatsoever. I have no intentions of reusing it, since it'd need a full rebuild and SOHC transmissions are plentiful, including a fresh rebuilt one I'm aware of, but is this normal? Aren't torque converters supposed to be tight inside the trans? It had a code for excessive slipping, only code, and the fluid looks like motor oil.
