2000 explorer 173000 miles ford upgrade kit done 8 months ago. When taking off truck is slow then shifts to a high gear then wont shift unless you let off the gas. Has check engine light on code says shift solienoid A malfunction. Im using the epc that was being tested on this site. Truck run fine then it started acting like this. I removed pan and found the the band anchor was off, put that back in check the band to see if it was broke its in good shape put fluid in and went to adjust band the screw goes in with no resistance. set it back where it was and drove truck short distance. same problem. Drop pan anchor still in place. has always had the 2-3 shift flare untill new epc was put in. should I put in a new valvebody? Any ideas?
