So I was thinking about upgrading my throttle body in my 01 explorer xlt 4.0 SOHC, to a 70mm Throttle Body out of a 95 4.6L Mustang. Has anyone done this? And if so can you tell me what your thoughts on this upgrade is? Anyone elses thought and suggestions are much appreciated. Oh and does anyone know what a stock explorer comes with? 60mm or 65mm?

Cheers

Welcome To The Forum!
I believe I read on another thread awhile back someone had done this, and it made better throttle response. try a quick search you may run into it.

I've used two different aftermarket TBs on my old '00 Sport (Ford Motorsports and BBK), both designed for Mustangs. I didn't notice that much of a difference and my cruise control was wonky afterwards. In retrospect, I wouldn't do it again.

Other uses on this site have had different results, but I feel any performance gain is marginal.
