8.8 Axle info

I'm selling my axle and this guy has some dimensions he wants:

"Center to center of the spring perches?"

"And outside of the disc to outside of the disc are?"


Okay.. wouldn't center to center of the spring perches varying because of shackle lengths? Or does he want the basic leaf length?? Anyone?

And does anyone know off hand the diameter of the discs??

That would have nothing to do with shackles or springs. He wants the horizontal distance between the individual perches on the axle.

"And outside of the disc to outside of the disc are?"

Not the diameter. He wants the horizontal distance between the outside of the discs.

And I don't know either.........sorry about that!

I think he's asking for the side to side diatance from where the leaf srping sits on the axle. That perch is welded to the axle, so it'll be a fixed distance. Measure from one side of the axle (middle of leaf sping) to the other side of the axle. As for the discs, just do the same and measure form the disc on one side to the disc on the other.
