My back drum brakes decided to have a bunch of fasteners fail and ruin the drum so instead of putting money into that I decided I would grab the 8.8 disc brake axle out of my parts explorer. I ordered the ruff stuff mounts off Amazon and they came in. When I went to set the mounts on the axle there are some small tabs (I assume to space it out when welding) that don't allow the mount to go down all the way. Also when I tryed to put the mount against the explorer leaf spring the hole was too small for the bolt. Did anyone else run into this problem? I can easily grind down the tabs and drill out the hole but was curious what others thought.

Also I plan to keep the block in there, any idea if the centering pin on that is smaller and will fit in the mounting hole

Grind the tabs down equally until it fits. They are just there to make the perches a more universal fit for different size tubes. Im guessing they are for a 3" tube and the 8.8 is a 3.25" tube if I remember right.
PERFECT! Thank you.
