I did a search for 2 hours yesterday and didn't really find the answers...
anyway,
I have a Coupon for a 4x4 service incl. change of front/rear end fluid and t/c fluid.
They would put 80/90 into the differentials and atf into the t/c
and it is 50 Bucks for the whole service. So I am thinking of doing that instead of crawling under my truck and freezing my hands of...
Haynes says to put 75W-140 into the differentials, would it make a difference what kind I put in there. Haynes also says to put traction lok additive in the differentials. Is that necessary?
Any other recommendations of fluids to put into differentials or t/c? and where to get them?
thanks
