80k mile tune up? What should I do?

Well I've hit 80,000 miles what steps should I take to get her back up and running 'like' she was brand new .

List everythign you can think of becuase I don't know exactly when everything was changed plug,wires,shocks etc. (bought it used form my uncle).

Kind of an open-ended question isn't it?

Here's a list:

- Oil and filter change
- Drain/flush/refill coolant
- Change tranny fluid and filter
- Replace drivebelt
- Replace plugs and wires
- Replace fuel filter
- Replace air filter
- Check/replace PCV valve
- Inspect/replace brake pads/rotors
- Check/repack wheel bearings

Did I leave something out?

You could clean the MAF and change the fluid in your tcase, and diffies.

TAS - Thanks for the list, I did the oil last week also instead of just going for a new filter should I got for a KKM or a K&N Off-Road air charger?

Section - What kind/brand of fluid should I use for the differentials and transfer case? (also your explorer is 'THE' model of perfection for mine and has been for some time, just wish I had a v8, I really like it a lot though and good color choice... same as mine lol) I'm semi-new to this. Only been driving about a year.

Hey, thanks Foo!

I'd use just a synthetic ATF in the tcase and I think the diffies call for an 80w or 90w oil. It's a gear oil and totally different than a motor oil (different section at Autozone even ).

Thank ya, Also I have decided on the best wires money can buy I'de say Moroso ultra 40.

which set should I buy? I'm guessing one of the $85 universal kits so which angle plug boots should I get?, I guess I will have 2 extra wires.

Also will splitfire3 tripple platinums work fine?

I'm still deciding on the battery and shocks ( I actually think it still has the stock or 2nd battery and shocks which is insane)
