85 A4LD into 88 Ranger.

I took a a4ld out of 85 bronco 2 and put it in a 88 ranger but the plug for the silinoid on the 85 has 2 pins and the wire on my 88 has 3 its for the tc lockup how do i adapt it

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the Ranger section. You have to transfer the 3 prong solenoid connector, and the valve body into the 85 transmission. Your other option is to switch the 2 prong connector into a 3 prong connector. The only problem with that is the PCM will command overdrive by activating the solenoid, but there will be no 3-4 shift solenoid since overdrive is hydraulic, and not electric on the 85.
