87 ranger conversion question 2.9 to 4.0

I am thinking on swaping my engine to my 85 2.3L Ranger to a 87 4.0L . Will this be a easy swap and will I have to change any wiring? Both have standard transmissions. Any insight is welcome.

I don't think there was the 4.0 in 87, but I could be wrong. Easy swap? No. Change wiring? Yes, lots. You'll have to switch transmissions, too.
