I have a 88 Ranger V-6 with great oil preasure when the engine is cold but after it heats up to opp. tem. the preasure drops. Has anyone out there ever added an oil cooler to their truck to cool the oil and if so how did it work for your preasure.I also noticed the oil cooler kits they have have I would consider small as far the cooler part goes, I think I would rather use a trans cooler along with the oil filter adaptor kit to get the oil that much cooler. Anyway if anyone out there ever ran into this oil preasure problem and found a way to correct it with or with out the oil cooler kit please let me know, thanks, Joe ( joepatrick2@yahoo.com )

Warm oil breaks down faster than cold oil. You could try a new oil pump or thicker oil.
