i have a carbon fiber bezel for my gauges in my x. i was just wondering if anyone knew how to remove the plastic covering over the gauge panel to apply it. i'm sure it's relatively easy to do (i hope) but i have no clue where to start.

1. Open the ash-tray and take out the two screws holding it in, unplug it if you need to/want to to get it out of the way.

2. Then pull the dash bezel thing off (it snaps on, so just pull off, but be careful or you could crack it). To make it easier to remove, put the shifter into 1st gear if yours in an automatic (moves the shift lever out of the way). If you have the push button 4x4, unplug it.

3. Then you see the prize, a clear plastic cover, and a black plastic bezel cover the gauges. Unscrew them (seven screws I believe), they come off together.

From here I believe you can put the carbon fiber bezel on, and then replace the parts you took off.
