I was woundering if anybody had tried or at leasted looked Into Swaping front Ends with a 93-97 Ranger, I was looking to do a Ranger edge, But after looking at Mounting paint's and general width, it was going to be a pain. But from what i can tell the 93-97 ranger chassis is almost idenical. I know Rick Updated his front end. And i'm willing to swap front fenders, and hood. Any thoughts (other then i'm on crack.) ricks is a newer explorer body style it looks good but i like the sqare style better

for the newer explorer front end check out
www.perrysfabnfiber.com it will run roughly at least
800$

I'm a metal guy

sorry the fiber won't work for me, it doesn't weld well, just melts. If they didn't come with 3" flares i might opt to, but i'd have to replace the rear as well, and i'm grafting in a set of fullsize C***y Tails, so i need the metal. :chug: rock on

Rick's is actually a 1993 XL. He has the perry's fab n fiber front end

According to my Manual (Haynes i think) the bolt holes for the front fenders are the SAME for 91-96 Explorers. So maybe you could use '95-'96 fenders? See if there are any special parts in Perry's kit that allow the fitment of the new parts, then get those and run '95-'96 fenders and hood, or a 'glass hood. I think that'd leave you ok, but I may be wrong.

This was brought up in a post a while ago. I'm too lazy to look for it, but it was basically the same question.

Putting newer front end on a early model Explorer. I think the idea was that it would work. There maybe a few tabs that don't have anything to bolt to, but it would still be secure. The only problem that was brought up was the front cowl right in front of the windshield. That piece is different between the years and it has more of a structural design then the fenders do.

But anything's possible! :)
