Here is my problem. Average temp lately is below 20 degrees. When cold tranny sometimes leaks, sometimes doesn't. I'll let it warm up for 10 to 15 minutes. I'll put it in reverse and transmission doesnt respond for about 15 seconds then it will kick in...then go back out...then kick in. eventually i get to the end of my driveway, put it into drive and more of the same tranny's in and out until i get about half a mile down the road then it will run normally. recently the temperature got up in the high 50's and I didnt have this problem. started right up and down the road no problem. I bought my X about 5 months ago and had to replace the tranny seal to get it on the road. High mileage (190,000) original tranny, the tranny seal replacement was apparently the second replacement in a year.

With all the leaking, what's the fluid level? Low fluid level can do that.

Its got fluid and I dont think its low, although it seems to me its kind of hard to get an accurate fluid level, with it having to be at the correct temp and at an idle and all that
