As many second hand x'ploders, i had to work out the kinks...This is a how to ajust the trans shifter knob to what gear the vehicle is in.
Unconnect you battery cables, put your parking-brake on,and turn the key to on and pull the lever to all the way down to 1st.Pull the dash face with with a screw driver.and dont forget the two 9/32's bolt in the above the cigg tray.
This is optional as you can adjust if you have small girly hand's...but i dont. remove the 9/32's bolts 4 they are he one that go directly to the housing.pull housing(carefuly all the wires and cable's are still hooked up) a inch forwad. Use that screw driver to wedge under neath it will look like this.
Ok do you see that white gear, with a small black gear in the center...?there is a small treaded PLASTIC(be careful) rod that screws in to it(from bottom).turn the black gear clock wise to adjust the lever forward.Counter clockwise to back it up.Do not loosen to much it will come out then your stuck pushing the thread up and keeping the white gear straight while turning the b;aclgear. When you happy put the dash faceback on in the opposite of paragraph one.
final product is...
you can remove the bottom part of dash with a 9/32 socket and the hood popper.the Steering column cover comes off with a long phillips head.there is a screw on each side of the column.you can do this to easy the stress...but it's not necessary.
have any questions...i'm me.
