92 explorer transmission problem

i have a 92 explorer and the tranny went out on me a few days ago. i replaced it hooked everything back up and all that good stuff. when i went to put tranny fluid in it just pours out the overflow valve like its full. but i know it isnt b/c i go to shift my truck into gear and it goes into gear but my truck doesnt go anywhere. like there is no fluid at all

could have alot of air in your clutch, did you bleed it . there tempramental things when it comes to air in the clutch lines and there a pain in th butt to get it all out as well.

its an automatic so wouldnt think u have to but in ne case no i didnt bleed it. i was told i might have broke the pump since i put the toque converter on the flywheel before i put the tranny in...was told it also could be my filter...or a clogged cooler line.
